We offer treatments to enhance performance through the lens of somatic mindfulness

Palomino Body + Mind is a wellness studio located on Main Street in the heart of Marble Falls, Texas. We treat pain management issues through the modalities of massage and acupuncture. The type of wellness we provide is a body mind centered style of care. By setting this intention, we hope clients experience treatments that not only address the structural aspects of their pain but also provide clients a deeper sense of relief and clarity. Although our relationship with our clients often begins with them seeking relief from acute or chronic pain, clients will discover they receive holistic benefits from the care we provide. Acupuncture and massage clients report experiencing holistic benefits such as improved sleep, digestion, immunity, and mental clarity as well as receiving relief from chronic and acute pain.

Treatments we provide aim to transform tissue and break up adhesions. We work to remove blockages, improving the flow of blood, lymph and energy in order to invigorate and optimize performance. We aim to relax the mind, giving our clients the chance to drop out of fight or flight into a softer place within their nervous system. It is within this nervous system shift that true healing takes place and we achieve union of body and mind.

Our community of massage therapists offer a variety of skills and talents. Some styles of massage balance deep pressure with rhythmic fluid strokes to soothe the nervous system and release bound tissues. It is through this offering of deep pressure and consistent flow, clients are able to let go, receive and relax. Our other styles of massage provide release by focusing direct pressure in problem areas, each session building upon the last. It is through this focused care where specific patterns of tension are addressed and posture improves. Our collection of treatment styles set us apart from other massage styles you will experience elsewhere. Our licensed massage therapists are hired for their drive toward excellence and confidence in their ability to provide a transformative healing experience. Therapists come to Palomino already possessing stellar skills, and are given mentorship and training by the business owner. This ensures consistency and quality of service for every client who places themselves in our hands.

Our style of acupuncture utilizes a myriad of needling techniques to elicit and encourage your body’s natural healing abilities. As in our massage style, our aim is to clear blockages and open up the myofascial meridians. Our acupuncturist uses specialized fine filament needles to release accumulations bound up in myofascial structures, releasing pent up tension and bringing energy to areas of weakness. This allows for greater flow of energy not only within the musculoskeletal system, but on an energetic level which improves balance, function and vitality to the homeostasis of our body’s various biologic processes.

Our treatment aim is to empower clients, helping them maintain a healthier mind body connection where they can tap into the best medicine, which is themselves. The life choices we make are where true healing and wellness is achieved.

At Palomino Body + Mind our providers deeply honor the commitment clients make to themselves when choosing us for their body mind wellness.

good to know

Questions, answered

What makes the signature session different?
It combines both licensed modalities in one 90-minute visit. Julie begins with acupuncture to calm the nervous system, then transitions into hands-on bodywork to deepen the release — typically only possible across two separate appointments with two providers.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people are surprised how gentle it is. The needles are hair-fine and single-use. You may feel a brief, dull sensation as a point activates, but many clients find it deeply relaxing and drift off during treatment.
Do you take insurance or HSA/FSA?
Payment is due at the time of service, and many clients use HSA or FSA funds for acupuncture. Receipts suitable for reimbursement are available on request — reach out before your visit with any eligibility questions.
How should I prepare for my first visit?
Wear comfortable clothing, eat a light meal beforehand, and arrive a few minutes early. Julie reviews your history and goals, then tailors the session to how you are feeling that day.
