05 — Payment & Reimbursement

HSA, FSA & reimbursement

Wellness care is often more affordable than clients expect. Here is how payment and pre-tax health dollars work at Palomino.

Coverage depends on your individual plan and is not guaranteed. This is general information, not tax or medical advice — confirm details with your plan administrator.

01Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes — many clients pay for acupuncture and therapeutic massage with HSA or FSA funds. We provide an itemized, coded receipt (a superbill) suitable for reimbursement on request. Because plan rules vary, confirm eligibility with your administrator before your visit, and reach out if you need specific documentation.

02What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?

Some HSA/FSA and insurance plans reimburse massage or acupuncture only when a licensed provider documents that it supports a specific health condition. That documentation is called a Letter of Medical Necessity. If your plan requires one, let Julie know — she can provide supporting notes for eligible, condition-based care where clinically appropriate.

03Do you bill insurance directly?

Payment is collected at the time of service, and we do not bill insurance carriers directly. Many clients submit our itemized receipt to their plan or HSA/FSA for reimbursement. This keeps pricing transparent and predictable — you always know your cost up front, with no surprise balances later.

04Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA and FSA cards, and Palomino gift cards, processed securely through Square. A card is used to hold your appointment when you book online. Have a question about payment before you come in? Call or text and we will sort it out.

Give the gift of genuine rest
