Acupuncture
A Palomino acupuncture treatment utilizes very thin needles gently placed at specific points and trigger areas to release tension in the fascia, break up adhesions, and restore the natural flow of energy (Qi) through the body. This also helps promote cellular renewal and healing.
The needles activate your body’s built-in healing systems and help shift your nervous system into a calm, restorative state where true healing can take place.
Sessions combine various acupuncture techniques, including dry needling, subcutaneous needling, 5 Element theory, channel theory, mirroring methods, and electroacupuncture — tailored to what your body needs most.

Prenatal Treatments
This is truly a special time for a woman to purposefully align her mind body connection as she moves through the stages of pregnancy. At any stage of pregnancy, we provide supportive treatments which aim to relieve the unique strain pregnancy places on a woman’s body. Giving birth is an extremely demanding process that requires the ultimate in mind body connection.
In our prenatal acupuncture sessions, time with the needles can ease tension and quiet the mind. This can allow space for a woman to meditate on the joys that lie ahead and to experience all the benefits acupuncture has to offer. Prenatal acupuncture clients experience increased energy, decreased morning sickness and a more balanced immune system.
In the final weeks of pregnancy, beginning at week 34, acupuncture can help prepare a woman’s body for delivery. The efficacy of acupuncture being used by women to prepare for delivery has been studied with great success, such as notably shorter push times. For more information please call us to speak with a provider. We are happy to provide more insight.
Women’s Health, Fertility, Peri/Post Menopause and Reproductive Health
Whether in the care of a Fertility Specialist or your journey with fertility has just begun and you wish to start with acupuncture, our treatments support you in your process. The work we provide runs synergistically to Western medical fertility protocols. If you are seeking acupuncture at the beginning of your journey we encourage you to give it a try for a few cycles as a stand alone fertility treatment. Acupuncture by itself is a wonderful place to begin. If you are already in the care of a Physician, Acupuncture is a great way to elevate and amplify western fertility treatments. Acupuncture helps to regulate cycles, build blood, build and regulate vital life force energy, bring flow back to your drive, invigorate the biochemical processes of fertility, clear heat if that is needed, or to bring warmth and flow, balancing out the yin and yang. We not only offer acupuncture but nutritional and herbal support as well. As an experienced fertility provider, Julie is here to help you navigate this journey and is available to share her experiences in what has worked for other couples in her care.
For irregular or painful cycles, acupuncture is a great way to make shifts in your overall health and wellness that can bring balance back to your menstrual cycle.
If you are experiencing hormonal changes as you enter into the post reproductive phase, acupuncture is a great way to support you in making the lifestyle changes necessary to set you up for that midlife glow up every woman deserves. This can be a frustrating and confusing time in a woman’s life that requires support and the type of care Chinese Medicine is built for. Acupuncture at its core is all about shifting the nervous system out of fight or flight and into rest and digest. It is in this restful state that our body optimizes its healing potential so we can manage the myriad of symptoms (too many to list here) associated with midlife, and to build ourselves back up for all that we need to be for ourselves and for our loved ones in the second half of life. Or as we refer to it, The Sage Age.
Herbal Medicine
Herbal remedies exist for many health concerns and our provider is here to answer questions you may have on how this amazing medicine can benefit you. Unlike supplements, which are taken daily and purchased over the counter, Herbal remedies must be prescribed by a licensed health care provider and are only taken for the duration of a client’s symptoms. This is medicine, not supplementation. There is a crossover and many single herbs can be taken daily for nutritional value. However, for the purpose of medication, single herbs are combined into a synergistic formula that treats a condition until the symptoms have cleared. Once the symptoms have cleared, the formula can be discontinued and the client’s condition is re-evaluated.
Herbal medicine is beneficial when treating digestive disorders, dermatological conditions, balancing hormones, reproductive health, anemia, fatigue, depression and anxiety. They can even be useful when regulating inflammation and chronic pain as well as allergies, colds, flus and other pathogenic diseases. Treatment for all of the above will use similar herbs as these conditions are often related and require a holistic approach.
Herbal prescriptions are formulated by your provider which will be administered as a powder to be dissolved in warm water. Or, your provider may choose a patented formula in tablet or tincture form. The prescription is either called in to a local pharmacy or can be filled through an online order and mailed to your home. There are several herbal pharmacies in Texas and at least one online pharmacy. All options are great to work with and can have your medicine ready for you within a day or two.
