Acupuncture in Marble Falls, TX
Acupuncture uses hair-fine, single-use needles at carefully chosen points to ease pain, quiet stress, and support whole-body balance. Julie tailors each protocol to you, drawing on channel theory, 5-Element, mirroring techniques, and electroacupuncture from more than 20 years of licensed practice. Large research reviews suggest acupuncture may meaningfully reduce chronic back, neck, and joint pain for many people, with a strong safety record.

- Delivered by a 20+ year L.Ac. who can add electroacupuncture, cupping, or gua sha as needed
Your visit, step by step
Before
Julie takes a full history — pain, sleep, digestion, stress, and your goals — and may check your pulse and tongue. She then selects points along channels and at trigger areas for the pattern you present with.
During
Hair-fine needles are placed and left to rest for roughly 15–25 minutes while you relax. You may feel a brief, dull ache as a point activates; many people find the retention phase deeply calming and fall asleep.
After
Most people feel relaxed and grounded. Effects can build over a course of visits rather than a single session, so Julie will suggest a realistic number of treatments for your goals.
Simple, published rates
Prices are current and subject to confirmation at booking. Many clients use HSA or FSA funds for acupuncture — ask about a receipt.

Acupuncture questions
01Does acupuncture actually work, or is it placebo?
The honest answer is that the evidence is real but nuanced. Large individual-patient-data reviews (Vickers 2012/2018) found acupuncture outperforms both usual care and sham needling for chronic back, neck, joint, and headache pain, though the effect over sham is modest. It is best thought of as a supportive therapy that may help, not a guaranteed cure.
02Does it hurt?
Acupuncture needles are far thinner than the needles used for shots or blood draws, and most people feel only a brief, dull sensation as a point activates. Many clients find the session so relaxing they drift off.
03What conditions do people see Julie for?
Most often orthopedic and musculoskeletal pain — back, neck, shoulder, hip, and joint pain — plus stress, sleep, and tension. Care is supportive and personalized; it may help many concerns but is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
04How many sessions will I need?
It varies by person and goal. For a chronic issue, many people begin with a short weekly or biweekly series and taper as they improve. Julie reviews your response as you go and adjusts the plan honestly.
05Is acupuncture safe?
With a licensed acupuncturist using single-use, sterile needles, serious adverse events are rare — most commonly minor bruising or brief soreness at a needle site. Tell Julie about any bleeding disorders, blood thinners, or pregnancy so she can adapt.
